I am a current undergraduate junior studying Security and Risk Analysis (SRA) – Information and Cyber Security at Penn State University. Next summer, I will be interning in New York City with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on the Digital Risk Solutions (DRS) team. I am very involved on-campus through the Penn State Homecoming Committee, as a Diplomat for the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST), and employment in the College of IST’s Advising Office.
I started my journey with the School of International Affairs during my junior year at Penn State which is untraditional since most students begin the IUG program their senior year. I love that the SIA IUG program gives me the opportunity to stay involved with my undergraduate program and clubs while also having graduate school experiences.
I chose SIA because of all of the amazing opportunities and knowledge that the school provides to its students. I feel that the SIA Masters’ program sets me apart from a lot of my classmates and has given me the opportunity to travel abroad and learn from the experienced and knowledgeable SIA staff. For example, Spring Break 2020 I will be traveling to Israel with a group of students and one of the school’s professors, Ambassador Dennis Jett. Additionally, a large part of our staff have professional experiences in organizations such as the State Department.
Finally, my goals after graduation are to travel anywhere and everywhere, and to work in the cyber security field.
