As an SIA graduate, you are a valuable resource for our current students. There are many ways to get involved and give back, but we especially encourage you to participate in our Alumni Mentorship Program. As part of this program, you will be matched with a current student to help support them throughout their graduate studies.
We ask mentors to commit to engaging with their mentee at least 2-3 times per semester. This can include:
- In-person, Zoom, or phone conversations;
- Text and/or email outreach;
- Reviewing resumes and cover letters; and
- Discussion of networking strategies, job-search tips, advice on navigating the workplace, professional development advice, and other career-related topics.
A small commitment from you can make a big impact on our students! We will provide support and guidance to you and your mentee to help you create a successful relationship.
