Gregory Kruczek, SIA alumnus and adjunct lecturer in the Penn State Department of Political Science, will speak on "Why People Rebel—Greed versus Grievance." Kruczek recently completed his Ph.D. from the School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech. His research interests include Middle East politics, civil war and ethnic conflict, second-order minorities, Christian minorities in the Middle East, social movements, and mobilization.
