Ahmed Kodouda will be presenting "Sudan: Uprising, Transition and Prospects for Democratization" on Thursday, October 3rd at 4:30 p.m. in Sutliff Auditorum, Lewis Katz Building as part of the SIA Seminar Series (Focused on Africa). He will discuss the recent uprising, current transition, and prospects for democratization in Sudan, situated in the regional context of transitions in the Horn of Africa, Red Sea region, and broader geopolitics. Kodouda is a current graduate student of George Washington University. His research interests include ethnic politics, civil wars and democratization. Before attending graduate school, he worked for various organizations in Kampala, Khartoum, Nairobi and Washington, D.C.
