Penn State SIA Fall 2026 Colloquium Series

Join our INTAF 890 course every Wednesday for a new guest speaker and weekly presentation on international affairs. Each week will feature the following topics:


August 26 - John S. Creamer, Professor of Practice, SIA, will host a talk titled “What is Globalization?”

September 2 – Andrew Selee, President, Migration Policy Institute, will host a talk on Global Migration.

September 9 - Jose Antonio Meade, Former Mexican Finance, Foreign and Social Welfare Minister, will host a talk on Globalization and Populism.

September 16 - Dr. Richard Alley, Evan Pugh University Professor of Geosciences at Penn State, will host a talk on Climate Change.

September 23 - Keith Mines, Office of the President, Inter-American Dialogue, will host a talk on Nation-Building and Stabilization Ops.

September 30 - Harvey Rishikof will host a talk on Technology, Geopolitics, War and Law.

October 7 - Dr. Herbert Ott Wolfe, DHS Chief Health Officer and Affiliate Faculty, SIA, will host a talk on Public Health and National Security.

October 14 - Tim Golden, Reporter, ProPublica, will host a talk on Organized Crime and Corruption.

October 21 - Glenn Davis, Public Affairs Officer (ret.), will host a talk on Public Diplomacy in a Multipolar World.

October 28 - Bruce Frost, VP of Intelligence, Rhombus Power, will host a talk on Intelligence, Technology and Ethics.

November 4 – Ambassador (ret.) Jennifer Galt will host a talk on China, Taiwan and the United States.

November 11 – Ambassador (ret.) Timur Soylemez will host a talk on Middle Powers: Turkey.

November 18 - Maria Abi Habib, NYT International Correspondent, will host a talk on The Middle East and Geopolitics.

December 2 - Ambassador (ret.) Thomas Shannon will host a talk on Geopolitics and Great Power Competition.

Registration will not be required to attend.
