Emerging Animal Infectious Diseases Conference

Date & Time: March 25, 2020 | 07:00 AM – April 17, 2024 | 11:06 PM

Location: TBA

On behalf of Pennsylvania State University, the College of Agricultural Sciences, in conjunction with Penn State’s Center for Security Research and Education, will be presenting an Emerging Animal Infectious Diseases Conference on March 23–25, 2020. The goal of the conference is to highlight current successes and lessons learned from past experiences combating foreign animal diseases and to explore new areas for action, preparedness, and response. We hope to reach on-farm decisionmakers, including veterinarians; farm owners; extension, state, and federal regulators; and industry representatives in this 2.5-day conference. Guest speakers and breakout sessions will address a number of diseases (FMD, ASF, HPAI, and NDV) from a variety of perspectives, including surveillance and diagnosis, economic impact, and strategies for mitigating/minimizing risk.
