Integrated Undergraduate-Graduate (IUG) Program

Requirements​

• Students must be currently enrolled in the aerospace engineering program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework.

Requirements

• Students must be currently enrolled in one of the undergraduate programs listed above.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all coursework completed for the major.
• Approval from major.

Requirements

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Criminology (B.S. or B.A.) program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all coursework completed for the major.

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Computer Engineering program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework.

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Computer Science program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework.

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework.

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Global and International Studies program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all coursework completed in the major.

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Health Policy and Administration program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all coursework completed in the major.

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Political Science/International Politics program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all coursework completed in the major.

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Security Risk Analysis program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all coursework completed in the major.

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Sociology program at Penn State.
• Applicants are generally expected to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in undergraduate coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all coursework completed in the major.

The following information is intended for current Penn State Schreyer Honors College Scholars who are not majoring in one of the programs listed above. If you are one of those majors, please refer to that particular information.

It is strongly advised that Schreyer Scholars work with their academic advisers and SIA Admissions throughout the entire application process. Since the application process is handled primarily through Schreyer, applicants should follow the guidelines posted on Schreyer's IUG Programs page.

This should be completed with your undergraduate academic adviser.

This letter of recommendation should come from a faculty member from the major you are applying through.

A graduate school résumé focuses on your educational accomplishments and any relevant experiences.

While Penn State’s School of International Affairs permits the use of AI to generate ideas, assist with structure, and check grammar and spelling, your statement of purpose should ultimately be entirely in your own words. Authenticity – the extent to which you tell your story in your own voice – is a central criterion for our evaluation of your essay AND for decisions regarding admission and merit scholarship awards. Although not guaranteed, applicants who write their statement of purpose authentically are more likely to present a stronger application and be more competitive for admission and larger merit-based scholarships.
